  1. There is a book called "work your way around the world", but I can't remember the author.  There are other similar books, but they tell you what type of work is available in each region/country.  They will also provide info on cheap accommodation, but if you plan a European trip you could join the Youth Hostel.  I did and they are good enough for several nights or get you on your feet if you decide to settle in one place for a while.  Money is ok depending on what you want to do.  I worked in a nightclub, pubs, restaurants and offices all abroad.  As for what money to take, well I set off with £165 and started hitchhiking....I wouldn't recommend such a small amount as there was many a day I was starving.  If you can, leave some money in a bank account so if all goes wrong you can return to england.  Also get the european health card (not sure if right name) as this will entitle you to healthcare.  If you look on the net you will find expats living in Spain, would be a good place to start looking for work.  http://www.oaksupportservices.com/

Gibraltar is a good place to go as the country/shops/pubs etc are English/Spanish.   I found this on the net, see what it's like.  Good luck!  http://britishexpats.com/forum/

  2. You will not earn much I did holiday rep work and the pay is poor however I still earned more than the bar/cafe workers. try the lady magazine for vacancies. or alternatively contact holiday companies direct. you will need to save at least £1k to set you up with a deposit for accomodation however this will be free if your working as a rep.

  3. Every work abroad program is different, but they are still great experiences. You can read about working abroad here:

  4. I applied online for jobs abroad with Cosmos and Thomson Holidays. Rep jobs are very poorly paid 600 euros a month (around £400) but you do get free shared accomodation. Other jobs such as bars etc are also very poorly paid with very long hours. If you spoke the language it could help you a little, but so many Eastern Europeans speak several languages and will accept less that they are also in Spain too. You would be better trying to get a job privately, maybe advertising in a newspaper like the Costa Blanca News for a nannys job but it is very hard to get anything decent here in Spain these days. Someone else suggested the Lady magazine in the UK which is a starting point and is a good reputable mag. You can advertise or see wanted ads. Sorry to disappoint you.
