  1. Go to your supervisor and tell him or her, that you don't think you "know enough," and would like to have a few more training sessions, to gain confidence on the register with checks, debit card machine and whatever else you think you need to know.  If there is a training session coming up for new employees, ask if you can attend, to make sure you understand everything.

    Good Luck.

  2. rain checks-press Price modify, scan the product, it will ask why are you changing the price? the press rain check and put in the price.

Debit- they have to do it on the machine, if it asks what type of card it is it would be atm not ebt (thats food stamps)

  3. The best thing you can learn as a cashier, is to know how to "count back" the money. Your supervisor should deal with rainchecks. The debit card requires a PIN from the customer to complete the transaction and the credit card should just go thru when swiped, though it may ask for a digital signature, or a signature on the receipt. You won't have to worry a whole lot about math, as the register should provide you with all the information you will need. Just make sure you are handing out the right amount of change so your drawer will not be short and you are held accountable for the difference, because an employer does have the right to make you repay.

  4. you need to ask to be retrained as obviously your training was insufficient.....
