I am done with most of my electives and I am about to start all my accounting classes. But I would like to know if in the real world does accounting require math or is it the basics. Also if someone out there is an accountant do you just put all the info in a database or how does it all work.

  1. Impossible.

    Accounting is all math

    Sorry

  2. I agree that accounting is all math. The good thing is that it's not very advanced math. Nothing like the math required for engineering. Basic practical math is all you will need and of course accounting software will do the rest.

  3. Accounting is all math.

  4. Remember in accounting 2 + 2 does not equal 4. It equals whatever your boss wants it to equal or you'll be bounced out on your tokhes.

  5. Accounting is all math, however it is fairly basic math.  The accounting principles on how to apply the math is what makes it somewhat cumbersome.
