Working at Family Dollar?

I was just wondering.

In South Carolina, how old do you have to be to work at Family Dollar?

And brownie points if you could also tell me about Freds. =) Thanks.

You have to be 18 to work for the company and you wil make monimum wage and if you go for a management job, you dont get paid much more. if you have a family member working at thet same store, you can not work there.

family dollar, come on, at least try wal mart if ur gonna do that, they get payed horribly

Im not sure, I dont live there But I have a friend who's sister is 14, and works at some burger place.

Go inside and ASK them. Different places have different rules. Some dollar stores I see like that are run by certain races and then their family members. It's racist, but it's true. They might take your name and application but most of the time you never see anyone other than their family or someone of the same  background working there.

Theres an icecream place run by an indian man that everyone applies to by my house, only ONE girl even got called back and she is Indian. No job exp whatsover yet some people with over a year didn't get calls.

Know the store, know the habbits, etc.

One DD by me has only ONE female employee. The manager, and this was said by not one but two of the people who work there does not even look at female applications because he thinks girls are hard to work with. He hires one or two to keep suspsions down. But does he get away with it? You betcha.

basically, i believe you can work as long as you have working papers. but the best bet is to walk into family dollar and ask them what age they start hiring, and if they accept working papers. same with freds.

that is the best you can do
