  1. McDonalds is a very bad place to work. Their food is unhealthy and they mistreat their employees. They even beat people who don't follow the rules. Dang, I'd be careful!

  2. The position they place you in depends on what they need. also, they might place you based on your personality. If you are a people person then you'll be taking orders, if you are quiet then grill. I worked there for two years and they did not ever train me to work grill.

They will only tell you to come to work on short notice if someone else calls in sick. Bonus to this is if you're not scheduled to work, you don't have to go. My advice though, you should do it. I say this because you will look good to the managers and they will remember the favor in the future and may return it.

The training process only takes as long as you need it to. This could depend though on whether or not the Mc Donald's you're working at is a corporates store or a franchise(business is owned by private person). this matters because things are run different at each.

One last thing, to stay entertained while at work i played a little game with myself. What i would do is see have sickingly friendly i could be to the customer! It was entertaining!

    Have Fun!

  3. You will have alot of coaching.  If you are bright and do a good job you will be rewarded.  That is true in any environment.  You will have to do it sooner or later.

  4. start with the easiest job.they will train you until they think you are okay for the job.don't be nervous it will be just okay.

    ☺☺good luck☻☻

  5. My brother worked there for awhile! He got randomly picked for different jobs, like cashier, or sometimes in the back, or at the drive through. But one warning! Once you work there, you probably won't ever eat there again!!??!

    :-)

  6. you start with orientation ,usually u will start as a cashier, cleanup person initially

  7. You will mop floors and clean toilets. Be prepared for the worst jobs they have available. If you want a better and less demanding job try a job in retail sales. You will probably not have to do cleaning duties and you can dress nice and socialize more with people. Your self esteem will thank you. By the way, watch the movie:"Supersize Me" and then decide if you wish to work in fast food. Good luck!

  8. I say go for it! =D

    good luck

  9. I've been working at McDonalds for over two years, and I really like it. I would advise starting out as a cashier. If you start out as cashier, you would likely be put on any service position, including Drive-Thru, and may eventually learn production. However, if you start out in production, you may not be taught service.

Training varies from restaurant to restaurant, but it is generally a combination of video and hands-on training for about 16-20 hours over a period of 4-5 shifts. Of course, after your official training is over, there will always be lots of managers and experienced crew around you if you have any questions.

They often call you and ask you to come into work because someone called in sick, or no-showed, but they CAN NOT make you come in. It's completely your decision.

There's no need to be nervous about working at McDonalds. It's a fun job that you will learn easily. If you show up for all your shifts on time, come in some times when they call you, work hard, and learn your job well, you will likely succeed, and may even get promoted.

I hope you enjoy your new job!!

    =)
