Working at a motel?

I am thinking about putting in my applications at the local Motel 6... and was wondering if it was an ok kinda job and what kind of pay I'd get...I know pay is not something to mention in an interview but fact is fact pay is important

What will you be doing there?

I work at the front desk.  I've been doing about 4 1/2 years.  It pays ok, but couldn't make it without the 2nd income provided by my wife.  

I live and work in Las Vegas at a hotel with more than a thousand rooms in it.  It's kind of old and run down, so your experience may be different.

I make only $13 an hour, but I'm also in the Teamsters Union.

With Motel 6 being fewer room, there may be more attention with maintnance issues, and it may not be so bad for you.

I would love to find another job and rid myself of the grief I have to put up with.  Like guest complaining about how their tub drains backs up everytime they flush their toilet.

The only reason I'm still there is because I get 3 wks paid vacation and  wks of personal time off.  You really take a chance with a new job when you are trying to raise a family.  Also I'm not as young as I used to be.  Next year, I'll be 40.
