Working at a race track? (horses)?

next week i am working at a horse raceing track and training facility

its this thing i have to do for my school

ive been with horses my whole life but for the past 2years havnt done much because of school work (year 11)

i have never worked at ar ace track before

just wondering exactly wat i will be doing?

im just expecting to be cleaning stables, tack, blankets, feeding, washing horses, leading them to the track, getting food and drink for the other staff help time the horses round the track, take them where they need to be, tack them up

is that basically wat i shall be doing?

on the sheet the man sed "general horse care"

  1. You already answered your own question. Unfortunately, I think you might have to do more than your fair share of cleaning stables.

General horse care means all the things you mentioned cleaning horse stalls,  grooming horses, giving horses baths, feeding and filling water buckets, hot walking horses,  tacking up horses,  cleaning tack,  leading horses to the track, assisting the trainer and staff as need be.   So yes you basically answered your own question.  Just listen to the trainer and staff around you and don't be afraid to ask questions.  The trainer and staff are not going to expect you to know everything about taking care of race horses. So just relax and have fun!
