Is working at a restaraunt hard? I'm 14, and I am going to start working at my friend's dad's BBQ restaraunt. Its for about 3 hours everynight on school nights, and like 6 hours on the weekends. Is there anything for me to expect?

  1. If you have any kind of a work ethic, you'll be fine!

  2. I have worked at a restaraunt before and it is quite easy. Maybe a bit stressful to start but pretty easy after that. What position will you have, Waiter or Chef.

  3. I spent 4 years working at the Outback Steakhouse.  It was one of the funnest jobs I've ever had.  You'll probably be working with lots of younger people (instead of working with "Gertrude" at a fabric store) and you'll be in a fast paced environment.  Because of the fast pace, time will go fast.  It may feel hectic sometimes, but you'll learn to think quickly and rely on your coworkers.  It'll be fun!

  4. Working at a restaurant can be hard but fun at the same time. It is a great way to get started in the workforce. If you continue on a while in the business you may learn things that will help you in everyday life (cooking, cleaning, buying the right foods). Other employee's will test you the first couple of days - stay relaxed, do what you are asked to do, ask intelligent questions, and have fun !!! GOOD LUCK !! I admire you starting at that age.
