I have just been hired for a retail sales representative position by this company and was wondering what the company culture, training, and pay was like. Any other information that you could give would be great.

Note:

I would like to hear from current or past employees only

  1. Well I used to work for Verizon Wireless, and although I was a greeter, I do remember the little bit the sales reps told me (as far as the pay).

Pay - the pay varies for sales reps, based on one's experience.  You will also be paid on commission - how many phones you sell.

Company culture - Really depends on what you mean?  I think their ethics suck, because they quickly fire people for ridiculous things.  (I was fired because I got strep throat - doctor ordered to stay home, and my boss told me to stay home as well.  When I returned, she told me I "wasn't needed anymore".  Another girl was fired because she was out sick with the flu for a week - doctor ordered and the boss did the same thing to her.  I've heard this type of thing is not exclusive to the store I worked in).

Training - they are actually really good with their training programs.  They also pay for a limited amount of one's schooling, provided it pertains to your current career field.

Hope this helps, and good luck with your new job.
