Working for the DNR?

I really want to work for the DNR. I did a few stupid things in my past.. when I was 19. I got caught up in the wrong crowd and my boyfriend got me in some trouble. I got a petty theft charge and since I was doing drugs at the time I chose drug court. Now its been 6 years since all thats happened and I'm afraid its going to bite me in the ***. Is there anyway possible someone like myself has a chance becoming a natural resources police officer? I've since been clean and doing great.

Most likely you wont be able to get a job as any LEO.

Theft and any other kind of stealing is a reflection on your morale....you would almost be better off being charged with damage to property than stealing something...

Sorry to break you the news but it is goign to be REALLY hard to get in somewhere...

it really depends on the agency and how long ago it was, but having a drug charges is really hard to overcome.
