There are actually quite a few ways to make money at home from your computer short of having your own business.  However, the income level is not that great.  Your looking at making minimum waged earnings.  Having a business is actually not that difficult to do.  A lot of companies you can collaborate with and have your own business and run it out of your home.  The companies have trainings that you can attend to learn that particular industry and how to build a business as your building your own business.  Great opportunity to make an incredible amount of money having a business.  Same income opportunity as a traditional business, but easier to learn.  Most people who have traditional businesses have gone to school to learn this.  When collaborating, the trainings are like going to school although it's more hands on experience for that particular industry then just basic business classes you take.

Anyhow, back to the home jobs.  Here's an article that has a couple good companies that you can look into and see if you qualify for the position.  If you think you do, then I'd say go ahead and apply for it.

Very few real companies are going to hire a stranger to do work for them with no training or supervision. Most people who work from home either work for themselves, or have worked for a company for many years, and then had a personal situation arise that caused them to need to work from home. If they were trusted long-term employees, and if their jobs could be done remotely, the companies made accommodations.

I wokr from home frequently, but I have been with my company for 15 years.

That isn't true.  There are a lot of companies that hire people to work from home.  It's a popular trend these days.
