Working holiday in america or australia?

i want to go on a working holiday to either america or australia, but im not quite sure how they work or how i'd go about organising one.....any ideas?

When it comes to availability of work, America is quite better, but Australia can give you a better and less crowded  environment and the people's more friendly.

Basically you choose where you fancy, i would say australia, i am going there for 5 months later this year. Just try and get all the info you can. Look at the best place in say for instance oz, look at the best place you wanna stay, i.e melbourne, sydney, brisbane, perth or wherever, book flights sort out your working visa, and may be book a few days in a hotel for when you arrive. Have money saved, then find a proper place to rent for a while then look for a job. You should be cool, it will take a bit of saving to get there but once your there you will have the time of your life!!

If you want friendly people, great weather (mostly) and a safe but exciting and beautiful environment, go for Australia.

The person who said that there is more work in America is mistaken. The type of jobs that working holiday makers want are easy to come by in most places in Australia.

If you're from the UK and are between 18 and 30, you'll have no trouble getting a 12 month working holiday visa which will allow you to do any type of work as long as you don't work for more than 6 months with any one employer. If you work for a total of 3 months for primary producers in regional areas, you can apply for a second 12 month WH visa. Save as much money as you can so that you're not living from hand to mouth while you're here and come and enjoy the trip of a lifetime.
