Working holiday visa for new zealand help me out here?

hi

can someone please give me a straight answer to this question i can find the answer and no one wants to tell me

i have a workin holiday visa for nz.it runs out next year

1.how long can i work? as in months and hours?

am i alowed to work full time untill ma visa ends?

ive bin told i can work as long as i want and i could have as many jobs as i want ,and i have being told i can oly work part time for 6 months.

please some one help me out here

  1. New Zealand applies different rules to different countries of origin. You haven't told us your country of origin, but taking a quick look through your profile/questions/answers, my guess is that you are from the UK and that you are already here and have been since last year. I am also going to guess that you have the 23 month visa.

    The key to the answer is in the name of the visa - 'working holiday'. You are not supposed to come here with the sole intention of working, but rather your intention should be to come here on an extended holiday that necessitates you having to work from time to time so that you can support yourself. Consequently, you can take as many jobs as you want but they should be of a temporary nature. (e.g. a bit of fruit picking here, some temporary contract work there, etc etc). I don't believe there are any restrictions on the number of hours per week you work or the period of time you work for any one employer. However, in line with the fact that you are supposed to be here on holiday, you cannot work for more than a total of 12 months out of the total time you are here.
