  1. the secret is......if I told you, then it wouldn't be a secret now would it? ;P, just kidd'n, the way to make good tips and get your job done right is all in your attitude! smile, no matter how rough it is going! be polite, even if they are being butt heads! your in a business of customer service and they will remember how YOU handled it, even if the kitchen is s******g up or whatever. Waitressing can be stressful, but it is all in how you present yourself, usually if you are calm and collected and efficient, then the customer is comfortable and happy.  Good luck to you!

  2. i sugget if you worry to remember the orders just keep small memo into the pocket. also best way..is just try to memorize all menu. Good luck!!

  3. Have you ever visited a restaurant?  How many times have you seen 11 tables fill all at once?  And you'll write down the orders, write down the table number (or some kind of ID so you deliver to the correct table).  People don't normally bite so don't be afraid to ask who gets what at the table if you forget.

    You'll be fine.

  4. tips:

    1. put more tables!

    2.hire good looking waitors

    3.make the service fast

    4. a catchy name/logo will always work

    5have a very cleen kitchen

    6.have uniforms

7.have a band or a singer or on stage!

    8. nothing will compare to good food!

  5. its easy, I did it for 5 years, hold 2 plate in your hands and balance one on your wrist/forearm with your pinky finger underneath the 3rd plate on your wrist holding it steady.  Smile a lot, you will have a pad of paper, keep track of the orders and table number on that.  Honestly its so easy, very fun too if you love meeting new people like I do.  Time goes quick, and the tips are good! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

  6. Take one step at a time. Taking orders, write the table number down with the order. Take the ladies order first, and always hand the lady her food first. I hope you have trays, these can accommodate a lot of plates at once. Have confidence, and know that with every table who leaves, you have made accomplishment (and hopefully great tips). Have fun with it, and best of luck to you!

  7. list the orders... and use both hands to carry so the its easy to carry....

  8. I bet that every waitress worried about this before they started.

They will usually give you a pen and paper, or have a keypad where you type the orders.

They have numbered tables (usually), so once you know which table is where, you'll be fine.

If there aren't  numbwers on the tables, use the paper you are recording their order on to jot a rough description of someone at the table, e.g a family..if the dad is wearing a green sweater, make a little note of it...you will then know who to taker it to :)

Ask people who work there if you are unsure, and as for the plate carrying, practice makes perfect, just don't try to carry loads, you may drop them..:)

    xx
