Question:

Working in an Apple Retail Store? Help!?

I applied online a week or so ago to work at the Apple Retail Store by my house. I got an interview two days ago asking me to an interview seminar at the mall I applied for. I'm pretty happy, and I plan to go, although a friend of mine told me today that she went to the apple store in person to ask about applying, and asked if you could work there even if you were under 18, and they said no. I'm only 17, although I graduated a couple weeks ago (I'm young for my grade). I'm pretty certain they asked for my birthdate on the application, but I can't remember. Was it a mess up on their part, or will I potentially be allowed to work for them if I get through the interview process? And how likely are you to get the job if you got invited to the interview?

  1. Unless they start selling a controlled substance like cigarettes or alcohol, I don't see any reason you'd have to be 18 to work there. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

If you're still concerned, go ask them for yourself.
