I was working in cyprus as an entertainer, this was in august, near the end of the season, and there were lots of bars advertising for jobs still.  But, if you want to become a rep or a member of an animation team as I did, best thing is to search the internet up and down for company websites.  I was lucky, I was travelling and I went to see my mate in Cyprus and got the job.  There is an element of luck in tourist hotspots, but I guarantee that If you want to, you will find a job in the service industry pretty easily.  Best thing is, go over for a week on holiday, post you CV everywhere you can (shops/bars/restaurants/hotels etc), and wait and see. If you get the job you can then start looking at sharing accomodation, and some companies you have your accomodation built into the package anyhow. Good Luck.
