Question:

Working in special effects?

i would love to go into the special effects for like movies, tv programs etc....

but i don't no what courses to study at school, college and do i have to go to university?

and how much does it cost to get reasonable software for making my own little movies i can spend up to around £100

maybe a bit more

hope somebody can help me!

  1. what type of effects are you looking at? is it more computer based of prop? i'm just finishing a prop course at the London College of fashion... we learn to make everything from prosthetics, fat suits, scanning marquetts, and even armour, its very versitile but dosent touch computer programig and stuff!  look into Wimbledon as well as they may do more computer based as well as props.  to get on do an art A Level the a foundaion course, with that apply to the University of The Arts London, both Wimbledon and LCF are the best colleges in the props feild so look there and good luck x*x
