I'm from Australia and have an EU passport. I want to work in the UK in a pub or something. In Australia they have these deal where you pay like $500 (like 250 pounds) to an agency and they hook you up with a pub where you can stay and work, they say you can make around 350 pounds a week including tips. To people working in the UK, is this deal worth it or do you reckon it is better for me to 'wing it' and take my chance trying to find a job when I get to the UK? How easy is it to find work there?

  1. hi i'm from the u.k it really depends on where your planning to stay really, bar work is quite easy to find how quickly were u wanting a job?

i would try to avoid going to an agency as they take a percentage of your wages but £350 a week is quite good money, i don't think you have to pay to join the agency there are some that do it free, if you let me no where and when you want the job i could have a look around for you.

    good luck!

  2. easy as pish cobber, but dont confine yourself to the south, theres plenty of work up north in Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool.
