Working/moving to Ireland?

Hello,

I was wondering what would I have to do to legally live and work in Ireland. A little about me.

I was born and raised in Canada and have dual citizenship (Canadian and Italian). I have legal status and have voted in both Italy and Canada as well as having a Canadian and EU passport.

With Ireland being part of the EU and myself with all the documents to live and work in Italy, what would i need to live and work Ireland.

Thanks

  1. As you are part of the EU, thats fine you are legally allowed here in Ireland to work and live.

  2. The Italian passport is the key...you're totally free to do as you wish within the EU!

You're free to both work and live here!

  3. You could move here tomorrow with your Italian passport.

To work here it would simply be a case of getting your PPS (Personal Public Service) number which again is a formality with your Italian passport.

I'd recommend trying to find a job before you move here though because the Republic has quite a high cost of living.

  4. U don t  need anything as an European citizen, just money and a JOB. I have several Canadian friends working/living in Eire and they're v. happy. Well, aside from the weather... :)

  5. All you need is your EU passport :)
