Ok, so i have a medical bill that went to collections. I believe its about 300-900$'s. I got this bill when i was 18.. and over the last to years ive made approx. 2,000$ !! TOTAL !! Because i've been dealing with depression anxiety attacks (on a large scale)...Would it be likely if i call them and tell them ill sent them the money IN FULL if i can get this removed from my credit report...

  1. its good if you go for a settlement immediately b'cos they will be charging interest for every extra day you delay and at one point you might get a cardiac arrest when you see the bill to be paid.

  2. Don't call send them a letter CMRR - it is called a Pay for Delete letter ... google this term and you will find examples to use.

  3. Generally a credit default will stay on your credit file for 5-7 years. However if you do pay it in full, it will show on your credit report as a paid default or settled default.

This is still better than having a default on their and a lot of lending institutions will see a paid default or settled default as within their lending criteria.

It will disappear off your credit report in due time.

    Good luck
