Working out during football season?

i started practicing freshman high school football on monday and i worked out just about all summer. id really like to continue working out but not being tired for football practice and games that should be coming up kinda soon. i could work out on the weekends but idk. help me out here with what i should do

btw...ill probably be playing quarterback, strong safety, and kicker and am 5'6" and 133 pounds

  1. I would recommend that you stretch your muscles not only before a work out but also after. What you should do to keep your energy up is to make a protein shake that you drink after a game or workout. It should have a couple things in there that will help your body recover.

    1.) Either powered whey protein or liquid protein - is the building block for muscle

    2.) Some sort of simple sugar like bananas or even grapes - helps your body replace the energy you just burned

    3.) Milk is a good source of calcium and vitamins so either soy or regular 2% will work.

    This is also a good pre work out shake and post workout as well. Try it and you will see that you have more energy and don't feel as beat after a long workout


  2. It wouldn't kill you to put on a few pounds of fat. I know, muscle is better, but if u don't want to be very tired, and if ur real skinny then u die.

    What Warren Sapp did was watch TV and do push ups and sit ups constantly during commercials. Do that.
