Working overtime?

If i was a new employee at a company, would it make a good impression if i worked overtime for the first couple of weeks?

Not really. It may just make you look like you are sucking up to the boss, in your colleagues eyes and it may cause resentment. Test the water first. There will be plenty of time for that later.
