Does the period (T) equal the wavelength (λ)?

  1. they are quite different :

    period is time  wavelength is distance.    

    Always remember this:

    period = 1/frequency

    speed = frequency * wavelength


  2. The speed of sound is different through solids, liquids and gases therefore even though the frequency of the sound source may be constant the wavelength and period will depend upon the medium through which the sound radiates.
