  1. Go to carnival.com, and see if they are posting any jobs.

  2. My g/f works with the kids onboard Holland America Line, so most of the year has a very easy life (normally less than 10 kids per cruise) however during the holiday seasons that number goes up to about 200 or 300!

As such her department is often very very small (sometimes just 2 youth staff when its quiet). That leads on to she is clearly not an essential department, and her pay reflects this (about $60 a day basic + tips).

Often parents will leave the kids onboard whilst they go ashore, and if this happens, because of the lack of staff you as youth staff will not be able to go ashore yourself, which can get quite frustrating lol, but its the nature of the job.

If you pick a cruise company with more kids (obviously starting with Disney) you will have to work much harder, but then they have such a large youth staff department im sure they have days off rostered in for you to do ashore. Also as kids are their main trade im sure (well, i'd hope) they pay more too

Depends on what kind of work environment you are after i guess
