  1. It really depends on the ages of the kids you are working with. How about an age appropriate scavenger hunt?

  2. making play dough, making cookies, making flowers with different things, cutting apples and doing a math activity,

  3. well im a babysitter myself and when i want to have the kids do something i either put in a movie, have them color, read a story, play a game with them or among themselves, just interact with them and it will be fine.

  4. depends on the age

  5. ASk the children, what are their favourite things to do, what are their favourite movie characters, animals, colours and you'll get some idea. Something will be brought up (say i have a toy lion at home....they are my favourite animals.....they are mine tooo....mine tooo....sameee....) and there you have an interest :P or ask have you ever seen a (something) and if they haven't bring it in or  get them to research it using books etc.

If you find the children like painting, maybe get them to use different tools like fine paintbrushes, their fingers, sponges, etc etc

  6. Cooking? Water play? Art (painting, finger painting).

  7. Well, it really does depend on the development and age range of the children...

Look at the different aspects of "activity", including: Art, Music and Movement, Math and Manipulatives, Outdoors, Large and Fine Motor Skills, Discovery and Exploring, Language and Communication, etc., etc.

Depending again on the age, things that interest children can range from many things.  I can't give you much detail since I don't know the number of children or range they are in, so instead I will give you some general info.  Think about: their home life (family, pets, home, meals), school life (friends, learning, playing, their teacher, etc.), outside influences (trips to the zoo/ park/ aquarium, visiting relatives, holidays, etc.)

Children learn through playing and exploring, so things that hold their attention and keep them wanting to discover are a key when coming up with activities!

Check out some of the latest questions I have answered (shutterbug1410) and there should be some great ideas for activities depending on the ages and stages of the kids!

    Hope this helps!
