I work for someone who has had an employee out since late October on Workman's Comp. This person did have surgery, or so we have been led to believe, back in November/December. Now the surgery is or was minor. In the said person thumb. How long could it possbily take for one's thumb to get better? 6 months seems to be an awfully long time to be on workman's comp for a problem with your thumb.

  2. What is the recovery after ulnar collateral ligament repair?

Following surgery, patients will be placed in a cast for four to six weeks to protect the repaired ligament. At that point, gentle motion of the finger will begin. Most patients are able to play sports 3 to 4 months after surgery.
