I run a 2:14 800m. I want to improve so if I'm doing a workout what pace should i try to attempt to go at for 400m repeats, 300m repeats, 200m repeats, or some 600m runs.

  1. ok well remember your repeats need to be fast enough to help you improve, but not so fast that you run a couple of them and then you are dead tired. when you do the 400m repeats they should be done faster then 67 seconds for you, and if you can keep the pace for 5 or 6 repeats then maybe bump it down to 62 seconds.

    300m repeats I would say 45ish

    200m 26 or so...

    and 600m should be shooting for 1:45. remember to rest between repeats, maybe just walk once around the track for your rest, that should be plenty.

    aim for 5-8 repeats and your time should improve rather wuickly.
