I'm a sophomore (going into sophomore season) WR/DB but played RB/DB last year and I need to know if these are good numbers for my age and development. I just did my workout day today...

I'm 15 years old and I'm 5'9 3/4" and weigh 157 lbs.

40 yard dash - 5.25

10 yard dash - 1.66

Broad Jump - 7'10"

20 yard shuttle/pro agility - 4.41

Bench - 165

  1. People are going to come on here and tell you that you should be a 4.4, and stuff like that.  You need to get your dead-lift up to about 400 lbs. by next season (starting speed).  Work either straight-leg dead-lifts or glute-ham raises (finishing speed) in addition on your squat/dead-lift days.

Other than that, you look to be a very good young athlete.

  2. Your 40 time is just fine. The 40 yard dash is overrated. Those kind of numbers aren't really all that important when it comes down to playing football. If you're a wide receiver, then your catching skills are really important. That's one thing that the coaches really look at, the person with great hands. You can be the fastest guy in the world, but you need to be able to run you routes well and catch the ball. Look what happened to Donte Stallworth, he's hella fast but has unreliable hands and he doesn't run his routes well.

  3. 5.25??? ur slow u should be down in the 4s
