Worl War 3 with China?

Question

My mom was telling me about these bonds the US sold to China (to lower our debt) and we don't have the money to back them up so if China ever wants to cash them in, a war will start. Someone please clear this up for me or I'm moving to Canada!

How will it be a world war while the only 2 countries that would really be fighting is the US and china. well anyways i dont think it will happen cause we chose the 08 olympics in china so it doesnt mater

China only wants to continue commerce. There is no doubt that in the next 15 years china will surpass the US in military strength. luckully the Chinese do not want a war with us. They just want to trade. And if we refuse to pay them, with all of these bonds, they will sanction us. Like we have done to so many other countries.

No country in their right mind would start a war with the US (the most powerful military in the world) because we are in debt to them. Instead, they might demand we give them something...

And we would respond because the Chinese aren't terrorists...we are trying to make them our friends.

Don't get scared honey...be more afraid of what will happen after elections....

... im not quite sure what your mom is talking about and i try to keep upto date with Politics and economics.

And i doubt they would go to war seeing as China has a massive market in America.

This is true.  The US under Pres George Bush has done some stupid things.  He US sold billions of bonds China - but the US doesn't have the reserve to back it up.  Now... the Chinese aren't dumb.  They know this.  They're just waiting for the right moment to put a strangle hold over the US.  And the US knows this - that is why the US is always kissing China's ***.  For example, if you read between the lines, George Bush never confronts China on any issues.  He dare not - because he/we/the US owes China about 3 billion dollars.

Oh, and btw, if we ever do go to war with China, the Chinese will kick our asses, and again, we all know it, and we would never let it get to that level.  In the end of the day, we are a fading superpower and the Chinese will dominate.
