World's most dangerous cities?

Edmonton Canada is also very dangerous to live. there is lots of crime in this city. The statistics shows that Edmonton is more dangerous than Toronto Canada. Is Edmonton one of the dangerous cities in the world?

Also I hear Victoria i Vancouver are far more dangerous than Edmonton.

Edmonton (Alberta),is the  5th most dangerous Canadian city. But when you break down the individual crimes, some Canadian cities have earned an unattractive reputation.

The cities below are list from most dangerous to least dangers for their overall crime/safety ranking.

1-Regina (Saskatchewan)

2-Saskatoon (Saskatchewan)

3-Winnipeg (Manitoba)

4-Prince George (British Columbia)

5-Edmonton (Alberta)

6-New Westminster (British Columbia)

7-Chilliwack (British Columbia)

8-Victoria (British Columbia)

9-Vancouver (British Columbia)

10-Halifax (Nova Scotia)

It would be difficult to rate, say, the top 10 cities in the world as all cities probably have dangerous areas.  Therefore it would be difficult to say, conclusively, that Edmonton is 'one of the dangerous cities in the world'.

Having said that though, if you consider such things as murders per month, violent robberies per month, specifically crimes involving violence - then it would be safe to assume that several South African cities would make the top 10 and Edmonton would be outside of the top 10.

I would hazard a guess that Edmonton would struggle to make it in the top 100 of dangerous cities worldwide.

I would suggest a number of African places including those in Zimbabwe, some parts of South Africa and the Darfur region, Baghdad, Afghanistan...
