Ireland took on Germany, as both the teams looked to pick up three points in the qualifying stages for the World Cup that was set to take place in 2014.
Going into the game it was apparent that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 were going to have an easy task on their hands, but Ireland were determined to make it as hard for the Germans as they possibly could.
The first goal of the game came in the 31st minute, as Germany opened the scoring. Reus went on to gather a loose ball in the Ireland area, and then smashed the ball home. During the build up it looked like the Germans should have had a penalty, but that didn’t matter since Reus scored any way.
Then in the 39th minute, Reus went on to score his and Germanys second goal of the game. Boateng played a cross field ball to the attacker, who went on to shoot across the charging keeper and send his effort sailing into the back of the net with ease.
In the 58th minute Klose was taken out in the box and Germany were awarded a penalty. Ozil stepped up take the spot kick, and sent his effort into the back of the net, making no mistake from the spot.
Things went from bad to worse for Ireland, as Germany scored a fourth goal in the 58th minute. Kroos went on to play a through ball to Klose, who went on to slide his effort into the back of the net from a very hard angle.
The Germans didn’t seem to be done there, as they went on to score a fifth goal in the 61st minute. O’Shea failed to head a ball clear, and Kroos went on to meet it on the volley, as he crashed a fine effort into the back of the net.
Kroos then went on to make it six nil to Germany, as he cut past a defender in the 83rd minute, on his way to blasting a shot in from some twenty five yards out.
Ireland managed to score a consolation goal in stoppage time, as Keogh went on to nod in a corner.
Despite that goal, Germany claimed some very easy points from the game.
