World Ending On December 21st, 2012??

What does everyone think about "Dooms Day"??

I have heard a lot of information on it.. I just watched a documentary on Nostradamus and the Myan Calendar and all that. If u havent read up on it I suggest u take a look, its very interesting..

It is easy to make words someone wrote in the past fit some events that have happened since them. For example I wrote a short story months  before 911 where a mafia bosses son fakes his death when the WTC towers collapse. Doesn't mean I knew it I could have picked as easily that the statue of liberty fell on him .

You know according to some who have read Nostradamus Ireland will not suffer the end of the world as it would sink ten years before that date and Ireland is still here.

2012 is a hoax.There is nothing out of the ordinary occuring this day.There is no interesting solar phenomea happening except for the winter solstice which happens every year.The planets can never exactly align they are more aligned now then they will be on 12/21/12.

The suns poles reverse every 11years solar max will reach its peak in 2011 or 2012.The mayans were great astronomers however terrible prophets they couldnt even predict their own dimise by the spanish.

It is the end of a cylcle the cycle of pisces and the beginning of a new cycle the age of aquarius.There is too many new age crackpots spreading this crack and making a lot of money from it.What most people dont get is the cosmic things that are threats always have been and will be long after 2012.

Ppl are always saying stuff like that i remember at least 3 times when i was younger reading on the paper the world is going to end, i would cry but wake up the next morning and be very happy that well the world hadnt ended so no i dont think the world is ever going to "end" Lol

I'm convinced people said the world was gonna end a few years ago, i was at school the time it was suppose to happen. everybody just stood there saying goodbye to everyone. Its b*ll*cks, and things like that shouldn't be published on websites, how upsetting most it be to people who think there life is gonna end in a few years, especially young people!!

It's all been taken out of context. The end of the Mayan calender was never supposed to indicate the end of the world, it was supposed to indicate the end of the current Mayan royal dynasty (Like the end of the Bush administrations after his two terms are up, only with Mayans). After which there would just be a new dynasty to replace it.

though I disagree with what the person above said about having the most fun possible...  But only due to choice of words.

it's important to live life each day to the best of your abilities...That doesn't mean party all day and night...  that means to know who around you loves you and to love them in return.  It's going to bed at night, walking out in the morning and hanging up the phone with the thought in your mind that if you, or that person, were to die before you saw or spoke to them again, that you wouldn't be saying to yourself "I wish I could have told them that...." (..that I love them, that i'm sorry, that they were right, that it doesn't matter who's right, that I care, etc)...  

It's not just because of some end of the world theories...  it's because accidents happen every day.  I never got to say good bye to my grandpa--and I'll always regret that, even though I know in my heart of hearts that he knew I loved him.

AS for booms day... it isn't.  According to the Mayans, it's just a time of restructuring and change.  

that said, there are some VERY interesting solar phenomena going on about then.... but that's what the mayans were predicting and using as a marker to keep track of time...

In fort:  I think ti's good to keep your peace with those you love at all times, and try not to live with regrets, or do things you will find yourself regretting later.  (dropping out of school could be an example as such...)
