World Football News – Preview: Argentina and Brazil to collide in a not so friendly game
Everyone knows the history of international football. Whenever it comes down winning the World Cup glory, no nation has surpassed the South American side Brazil. The outstanding football playing nation has won five FIFA World Cups and
that is the reason why they are always considered to be the favourites in winning the tournament organized by FIFA every four years, the FIFA World Cup.
If there is one team that comes even close to World Cup glory as Brazil, it is the European side Italy; however, in South America Uruguay and Argentina have won the World Cup more than one time. Moreover, the Argentineans are also the
neighbours of Brazil that is why the game between them adds a little spice as the fans are always enraged.
During the international break, the Argentineans are to collide with the Brazilians on the soil of Qatar. The game is expected to be a thriller and both the teams are expected to do wonders especially as both the nations have to prove
a point after the FIFA World Cup 2010 disappointment. Both the nations were knocked out in the quarter final stages as the Argentineans suffered a loss from the European side Germany while the Brazilians couldn't really live up to the expectations against
the European giants Netherlands.
The new Argentinean coach Sergio Batista will definitely try to prove a point after his appointment as head coach of the Argentinean national team. He did prove something when his side defeated the World Champions Spain in a friendly game;
however, they did suffer a loss against Japan in another friendly match.
On the other hand, the Brazilian coach Mano Menezes will also try to prove something as his new line up mostly consists of youngsters even though the Brazilian legend Ronaldinho is back in the starting line up and he is expected to start.
The inclusion of Ronaldinho in the Brazilian team adds another exciting factor to the match as the former Barcelona man is going to collide with the best player in the world at the moment and the current Barcelona star Lionel Messi. Many
say that his "Catalan" crown was handed over to Lionel Messi after his departure as Lionel Messi took good care of his number 10 Blaugrana jersey.
The Argentineans will not be playing the Inter Milan holding midfielder Esteban Cambiasso as he did not come to international duty; however, the young Javier Pastore was looking forward to his first ever Argentinean start.
On the other hand, the AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato was not to feature for the Brazilian side even though the Sao Paulo sensation, Neymar was looking forward to make a first team impression as he was to face a strong Argentinean side.
All eyes are going to be set upon Lionel Messi and Rolandinho as both the Barcelona men are going to collide on Brazilian soil and are going to face each other in a friendly game that is not expected to be friendly as the geographical
neighbours are going to play each other only for glory and bragging rights.
