World Heavyweight Champion, Mark Henry grabs second spot in WWE’s Power 25 rankings
The World’s Strongest Champion, Mark Henry was dropped down from first place in the WWE’s rankings for this week. Henry was placed second in the Power 25 list of WWE updated until the weekend of October 8.
The World Strongest Man, Henry was evaluated last week by the Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science on the basis of three events including the pay-per-view segment, h**l in a Cell, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown. The World Champion was put into
the fight against The Viper, Randy Orton as per rematch clause during h**l in a Cell. The World Strongest Man successfully defended his World Heavyweight title over The Viper during the Steel Cage match.
Henry captured the match against The Viper after hitting his effective finishing move, The World’s Strongest Slam for a three counts. After the victory, Henry thought to induct The Viper into the Hall of Pain as he took the steel chair and locked The Viper’s
ankle into it. While Henry tried to jump on it, The Viper rolled away. Orton took the steel chair and started beating Henry with it. He threw The World’s Strongest Man into the ringside barriers. Though, The World’s Strongest Man captured the title but he
suffered The Viper’s wrath after the victory.
One day after the victory, Henry once again confronted The Viper after his bout against Drew McIntyre. The Viper once again brutally assaulted The World Champion and threw him into the ringside barriers. Afterwards, Henry faced The Shaman of s**y, John Morrison
just after being assaulted from The Viper. Henry captured a dominating victory over Morrison and then called out his old rival The Big Show. It was announced that The Big Show was returning to Friday Night SmackDown.
The Big Show returned to SmackDown on September 7 among the huge pop of the WWE Universe. He not only assaulted Henry but also remained dominant over The World Strongest Man by chokes lamming him. The past few poor performances caused The World Champion
to lose his top spot in the Power 25.
