World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton secures second place in WWE’s Power 25 list
The World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton, secured the second place in the current week’s Power 25 list of the WWE. The Rankings for this week were updated by the Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science on August 20.
Last week, The WWE Champion was on the fourth place of the WWE Power 25 and now jumped to second. The Viper was set to participate in two events last week including SummerSlam on August 14 and Friday Night SmackDown on August 19. The Viper‘s fight at SummerSlam
against Captain Charisma, Christian got more hypes due to its excellence.
The Viper fought against Christian during SummerSlam in the World Heavyweight Championship match named “No Holds Barred”. Captain Charisma was the World Champion that time and was defending his title. An incredible fight took place in the No Holds Barred
Match. The Viper took the tremendous victory over Christian and became the World Heavyweight Champion once again. It was a dangerous fight as Christian could not stand over his feet and was taken on stretcher.
Afterwards, The Viper appeared during Friday Night SmackDown segment on August 19, where he did not fight in any bout. The SmackDown General Manager, Theodore Long introduced him as the new World Champion. The Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes confronted
The Viper with his protégé, Ted DiBiase. As The Viper only listens the voices in his head, he amazingly RKO’ed DiBiase brutally and it filled Rhodes with fear.
The Viper asked the GM for his next challenge and the GM announced the 20-Man Battle Royal for the next challenger. The Viper also attended that main event and watched the Battle Royal sitting ringside. The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry captured the
fight and became the next challenge for The Viper. The World Champion confidently taunted The World’s Strongest Man.
Due to all the excellent performances, The Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science placed The Viper on the second place for this week’s rankings. Last week, The Viper jumped from seventh to fourth place due to victory over The Great Khali.
