World History/Geography - Board Game?

I need to make a board game of world history (From Prehistory to the Renaissance).

I cant create a game like Candy Land or exact rip off s of any other games, also the game should require some historical skills to play.

Can someone help me think of a game to make?

Use categories for each of the historical eras you want to cover and make questions for each category.  Think of a combination of Trivial Pursuit and Taboo, so you could include vocabulary as well.  I like the idea of a time line for a playing board - you could have it weave around the board.  (To get a good board go to a second hand store and buy a board game and either strip the surface off the board or cover it with something, and use it then to make  your board.)  In order to win the players could have to answer a question from each category.  Best of luck with it.

well you could have a board that had a timeline on it... and for each section on the time line you could have  a deck of questions pertaining to each era.. you know color coded or something. so you could roll the dice and move however many and then whatever era you land on you could pick up a card with a question on it and if you answer it right you can go again or if not you can move back one.. or something along those lines. hopefully that will give you a starting idea atleast. good luck!
