Where is the ancient Nubian Empire located? I need specific details because I am shading the area in a map

It was mostly within the borders of modern Sudan.  The map on the site below will show you how much farther north ancient Nubia stretched at its peak.  In addition, you'll get a lot of good information on the University of Chicago's Oriental Institute site.
