During the Olympics broadcasts, I keep seeing the terms Olympics record and World record. Where was the world record attained? Which games was the world record acquired?

  1. A world record is the fastest time or highest score ever achieved in the event at any competition - including the Olympics. The Olympic record is the fastest time ever recorded at the Olympics.

  5. I assume your talking swimming. They race in other events besides the olympics. Those records were attained during none olympic events.
