World View, what does the world think about the IMPORTANCE of creation. Not creation itself but its importanc?

I think everyone is at least curious about the origins of life on the planet - and most people agree that the more we know about how the universe works, the more we can discover and grow.  So I think it's highly important intellectually.  But I also think that most people are easily reconciled to the idea that we may never truly know how it all began.
