Last week has shaken up many professional wrestlers in the WWE and has brought some new fighters in the lime light. Many prestigious wrestling championships changed hands last week at the Fatal Four Way Pay per View. More wrestlers made an impact on Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smack Down and claimed fame and honour in the ring. After the last week, Rey Mysterio is on the first position, the Celtic Warrior “Sheamus” sits pretty on second spot, Jamaican wrestler “Kofi Kingston” on third, the giant Big Show on the fourth, John Cena on at number five, Edge on six, The Miz on seventh, Randy Orton on eighth, Hart Dynasty on nine and Evan Bourne on the tenth position.
It is the two time all – American amateur wrestling champion Jack Swagger who is on the eleventh position. Jack Swagger lost his World Heavy Weight Championship belt last week when he was defeated by Rey Mysterio. In a later interview, Jack Swagger claimed that he was robbed off the title as Kane interfered in the match and made it easy for Rey Mysterio to win the fight. Jack Swagger appeared on Friday Night Smack Down in an angry mood and almost broke the ankle of the 7 foot tall giant, the Big Show. It seems that Jack Swagger will stop at nothing short than reclaiming the World Heavy Weight Championship.
It was a mixed week for R – Truth as he lost one ranking point from last week and landed on the 12th position. R – Truth, who is known for his athletic ability lost a major match against Miz and failed to win back the United States Wrestling Championship. The match was a classic one as it featured multiple near falls and hardcore fighting skills. However R – Truth managed to score a win against William Regal as he executed his famous wrestling finisher called the lie detector and pinned his opponent.
It is interesting that a team of Divas has climbed the ladder of success to be ranked as the number thirteenth team in professional wrestling rankings. It is the team of Lay – Cool which consists of Layla and Michelle McCool. The team of Lay – Cool consider themselves as the WWE Women’s champion. Layla and Michelle McCool are also training their rookie wrestler Kaval to become the next break-out star in the WWE.
The wrestling rankings cannot be completed without the big red monster known as Kane. Kane is steadily climbing the professional wrestling rankings and is on the fourteenth position this week. Kane has been furious from the day when he found his half brother, the legendary Under Taker in a vegetative state. Kane vowed in front of the professional wrestling world that he will find out the culprit who attacked Under Taker and will become the judge, jury and executioner. Kane intervened in the match for the World Heavy Weight Championship and delivered some hard core punches to C M Punk. Kane also fought in a match against the straight Edge society and gave a beating to four wrestlers at the same time.
The multiple times World Champion, Chris Jericho is having a hard time in WWE as he lost a singles match against the high flying Evan Bourne. It was a humiliation for Chris Jericho as he never thought he would lose a match from a young wrestler like Evan Bourne. As a response, Chris Jericho put his career on the line and challenged Evan Bourne. Chris Jericho claimed before the start of the match that he will leave the professional wrestling world if he loses the match again. Fortunately for Chris Jericho, he managed to win the fight and sent a message to the wrestling world that his fighting days are far from over.
The wrestling rankings are not constant and may change as the wrestlers win and lose their matches in the coming week. One big win or a loss can effectively change the rankings and may take the wrestler to new heights of popularity.
