Question:

World created in 7 days ?

Or is this just shorthand for the 7 Babylonian tablets - depicting how the world was made ? - A day for each tablet ?

These tablets are writen in cuneiform text - using an alphabet of 400 characters.

I doubt that those discovering them would understand much - so probably gave the general "gist" to those enquiring schollars and priests who wanted to know.

There are thousands of these tablets around the world - still sealed in their clay envelopes. - that nobody's bothered to open yet.

  1. The Christan belief is that the world was created in 6 days on the 7th day God took a break aka  day of rest

    .

And who in the world that could read and write

was there to see it happen in the first place

    .

Who was there to even see it happen that is a human being able to remember what they saw and tell it to others

    .

Who in the world in their right mind would even think that the Earth is the center of the universe for a couple of thousand of years

    .

And these kind of people are the ones who said this is how it happen and put in on a piece of parchment or a couple of rocks

    .

Yell right I take the story of creation no matter who said this is how it happen as someones dream of what then think happen

    .

Nobody knows for sure only what mankind is told they are suppose to believe in or else you will go to h**l

  2. The Holy Bible says that God created the world in 6 x 24hour days. Genesis 1:1-31.

  3. No, each day with God is 1000 years for us.  He is timeless and infinite.

  4. Richard F - For goodness sake, there is no "trite analogy".

How is there a global fallacy here? I am curious.

There is proof of the Babylonian tablets - they are physical objects sitting in museums.

So where is your proof that the OT and the NT are factual?

Oh, and he is not your "bro" either.

Ruth - there is no theology involved with this question. The person asking it is not religious.

  5. You raise an interesting point, but I would like to know your 'source.'

    Please edit and add.

  6. yeah, maybe you right!

    Thanx forthe info

  7. 6 days.  God rested the 7th.  You can get your theology from the Babylonians.  I'd rather not.

  8. You really believe that the Earth was created in seven day....REALLY?!

  9. Try SIX days, resting on the 7th.  Kinda messes up your trite analogy.

Edit:  You make a global fallacy, though, worth pointing out.

You believe in Babylonian tablets thousands of years old with no proof, and reject the OT and NT.

It is then equally valid, with no proof, to believe the OT and NT and reject the Babylonian tablets.

    It all requires faith, bro.

Edit:  Relax bro.  I didn't say the tablets didn't exist, I meant proof that they contain the truth.

  10. Wrong - Big Bang

  11. Your lodgic is equally as good as "billions of years" no creator, I mean same concept right.  7 days might seem far fetched but I would rather believe that someone made the heaven and earth.

  12. Peace and blessings be upon you.

Do we know what is the day by the divine calculation?

    see this verse  ,surah 22:

[47] Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! But Allah will not fail in His promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning.

You will wonder when you see the concordance between Koran and the recent facts about the Start of the world.

it is not written by people but inspired from the creator of the world , the galaxies .

  13. The world is about 4.5 billion years old.
