how do people get tier sets? or dungeon sets? and ive seen several people with armor that has the name "merciless gladiator's....etc" how do people get those? i need to know for future refrences

you can get the merciless gladiators PvP set now from gaining honor in battlegrounds. also, the marks recieved after each BG are used to buy the pieces. the vendor for this armor set is in stormwind city in the champion's hall, in old town. not sure about the horde one though, lol.

tier sets are from raids. a token according to a certain 3 classes may drop from a boss, and those are handed in at a vendor in Shattrath City, in the Aldor or Scryer part.  

vengeful gladiator is bought by arena points, as well as the brutal gladiator set (most of these pieces require a certain arena rating).

Here is how it works:

There 2 kind of gear one for PVP and one for PVE

PVP (playe versus player) gear is obtained from arena and Battle ground games and i geared towards health and resilience for survivability

PVE (Player versus environment) doesnt have that much stamina and has 0 resilience as it is for dealing damage in a controlled environment.

PVE gear is optained from instances (aka dunegons) and raids. Say you and your buddies kill a big monster (gruul) he drops a token that can be traded in for some nice pants. This is very rough but should give you an idea.

The teir system is to basically say what level you armor is T4 > T5 > T6 and so on. T4 token is easier to get than T5 but yeilds slightely worse gear.

Same with PVP gear

to get merciless gladiators sets first you have to be lvl 70 to do arena by winning arena you get arena points then you go to a seller and get your gear.

to get tier gear you have to beat a boss in an instance eg grull you get tier 4
