World of Warcraft question. (need help)?

Just curious if this would work. Can I download the 10-day free trial of World of Warcraft off of the WoW site and then use free trial disk that you get from buying the game? (got it from a friend) and if i can could i use the same character in both?

There is a way to get the full version of wow and 60 day game cards though. All u hav to do is go to the website sign up and complete offers easy.
