What's so good about "Blue" armor? I sold some for 150g, and the green armor I was wearing was better.

  1. It depends what you want, most blue BoE's are mostly for people who are lazy and just want something to start with. if you do an instances though the gear is much superior to BoE blues.

  2. "Blue" armor is more rare that "Green" armor, so i tends to go for more.

It may not be that great for you, but for somebody else (maybe a lower level depending on the restrictions of the armor) it may be excellent.

  3. armor in WoW is ranked in color as to how hard it is to get

    (worst to best)

    Gray   (junk)

    White (common)

    Green  (uncommon)

    Blue  (rare)

    Purple  (epic)

    Orange  (legendary)

it usually has a lot to do with your level. it also depends on where the item came from. some early blue items from the base game got way outdated and out-ranked by green items from BC

  4. All the basic points have been answered including the hierarchy of the color scheme.  I personally have green drops with better armor and stats than my equipped blue armor.  However, The blue armor I was able to equip at level 15 whilst the better green armor I didn't get to my late 20's.  So you see the benefit.  You can get the same boosts and protections from a level 25+ green armor at almost 11 levels earlier.

That is why Blue sells better, because characters gain the benefit of much higher level uncommon armor much earlier in their careers.
