World of warcraft - pvp class?

Question

my friend and i are thinking about starting world of warcraft...

there are two problems... 1 - i want to use a pvp class but not druid or shaman - dont like the look of them lol - i would have liked to have used a fire mage but apparentley their **** now so... i also thought shadow priest but apparentley their not much good either... id preferabley like to use fire mage or shaodw priest. but give ur opinion???

2) my friend wants to go alliance for pvp... dont ask why... he wants to be a paladin...i said theres a race on the horde but he dopesnt like blood elves, any chance i can persuade him otherwise???

Rogue's or Warlock's make great PvPers. I have 70 rogue, and I usually average around 40 kills per AV with about 9 deaths.

Also, Alliance is just as good as the horde.The people are usually a lot more helpful (in my experience). If you get your self into a good PVP guild then you should be set. Plus, Human Pally's just look badass :)

Undead rogues have become overused, but its true the PWN PvP.

I would recommend that for him. I know its more abilities and less spells. No heals or tank abilties, but they're still pure pwnage.

For you I recommend a warlock, I guess undead, plus to be honest, they really do look awesome as warlocks lol.

They're still doing spells, but alot of them are DoTs (Damage over Times) so basicly, you DoT them from a distance, and then you can run. Or if they're running away, you can DoT them as they go. They do MAJOR damage in PvP.

Also, you can tell him to make an Alliance Pally alt toon. That way play his rogue as a main toon, and he can play the pally when hes not playing his rogue. :) You can have up to ten characters on each server (realm)

Edit: Oh also, fire mages arent s.h.i.t. lol, theyre just not good for PvP because they dont have a lot of life. Fire mages are pure dps, and wont survive well in PvP because of their lack of health(they have less than a frost mage for example).

tell you friend he can be a sick nasty undead rouge adn since rouges own pvp you both can be happy.....plus alliance stinks in pvp we lose all the time

Make a resto druid, grab a good arms/fury warrior or a warlock and hit the bgs and 2v2. Root, Cyclone, hot, bear form, charge, bash. All OP. I know you said you didnt want a druid, but you should at least try one out. If you really dont like it, make a disc priest, they kick some huge booty.

As for the first question, try a hunter or a warlock.  

Hunters have lots of roots, dizzies and other poor status effects, can fight at range, and still are decent at close ranges.

Warlocks have DOTs coming out of their ears, and have the Fear spell, which makes those DOTs even worse.

Sacrafice your range and you can be a rouge, who also slaughter in PvP wholesale.
