In your opinion, how does the population of the world affect it and how do you think it can be solved? The over-population of the world is serious. It only makes other global problems worse and harder to solve.....

  1. All of the charities who offer food & medical care should also offer birth control. People who can't take care of children, financially or because of drug addiction, etc, should be sterilized after one child, or forced to use birth control until they CAN be responsible adults. I supported mine; I'm sick & tired of supporting others.

  2. Until the advent of humanitarianism and relative prosperity in the developed world, nature had a cruel but effective way punishing those who revelled in feckless baby-making. Starvation and disease.

We cannot increase the resources of the poor multitude without diminishing our own resources and our ability to share them. God helps those who help themselves.

  3. go over seas and spade and nuter everyone!!!

  4. All men should be killed and I should get to reproduce with all the women... all the s**y ones anyway.

  5. In my opinion, world population is a fact, not a problem.  Problems would be the failure to treat and contain disease, insufficient food distribution, lack of housing.  Calling it "over-population" is an improper simplification.

i.e. think of all the additional manpower we have to grow crops, build housing, or assist with medical treatment.

Just b/c the human population has grown does not make it a "problem", it's a situation, and just as we have always needed to address food, housing and disease, we still do.

I would "solve the problem" but redefining it.  Then, save all that money on western birth control products/advice and start to feed people who are hungry, give folks clean water facilities for drinking and bathing, add sewer treatment facilities, and build shelters.  Shoot to feed, water, clothe and shelter 15 billion.  That would be a good start.

  6. over-population is ruining our air so sooner or later we need to face this obstacle.i would get some MDs to teach third world people to become doctors and give men visectemies

    etc.

  7. I dispute the idea of over-population. Tokyo is one of the most densely populated areas on earth and it is wealthy and safe. We have the capability of producing enough food and water for everyone. Virtually all famines have been the result of war (the deliberate destruction of crops) or insane social policy (the current explosion in food prices because of ethanol subsidies or Mugabe's destruction of Zimbabwe's food supply). The surest way to lower the birthrate is industrialization and the protection of property rights and women's rights. Where these things occur, birthrates plummet to replacement level or less.
