  1. It's gone so far that it can not be stopped, but everything we still do, every effort we take, could possibly make things just a little easyer on us...

To be honest I think that a large enough dethtoll of human beings from a natural disaster, that we've partially or completely triggered, would do us good. Teach us to treat our world a little better and to be humble to the power of the nature we treat as our slave.

  2. First of all you need to understand that global warming is a natural phenomenon and can not be reversed. Our earth goes to phases of warming and cooling with major and minor diffrence in temperature. Our ancestors faced a global warming and some other natural disaster around 1900 BC and it is here we lost some civilisations like the INDIC civilisation around todays pakistan and MAYAN in south america.

We humans have induced the rate of rise in temperature and this is what has to be controlled and our governments are trying to do the same. The whole problems is that we humans think we can do anything and control everything but our knowledge of mother earth is not good enough to deal with it. If you go through old scriptures you will find that natural disasters have always been the most devastating thing and something like global warming and cooling, major earthquakes and like are not something we can control.

Due to non sustainable way of living we have induced the rate of rise in temperature and other factors are High use of fossil fuel, reducing green cover (forests), over exploitation of natural resources, greenhouse gases and above all population explotion.

We need to take immediate steps in this regard and try to reduce the effect so that the temperatures do not rise to levels where we loose a lot of species and our ecological balance is broken. Bio fuels are a very good option and we should ask all governments to put in more money for research and go in for better energy producing projects like SOLAR power.

  3. If global warming is actually being caused by the release of carbon dioxide due to the burning of fossil fuels then it will run it's course irrespective of the various silly feel-good solutions being offered up by the governments of the world.  Some of the "solutions" being suggested would actually make things worse.  Governments don't fix things.  They s***w them up worse than they already are.

  4. Yes, but....

While we can't totally reverse it we can reduce it enough so that we can cope with the remaining effects.

How to best balance reduction and coping is a worthy topic of debate.

Whether it's real or saying that we should only try coping without reduction aren't.

  5. Government programs are never a solution.  At best they are a waste of taxpayers money.  At worst, they make things much worse than they were before they were introduced.

  6. Look this is goining to sound really racist but..... Over in America

you guys are continuing on sending the world to certain doom the same way you were 50 years ago,

The thing that your government  has to realise is the fact that itself, America, is affecting the whole entire world. A single nation is affecting the whole world and yet, they still refuse to do anything about this GLOBAL issue except make excuses and fund worthless things aiming for short term victories and long term defeats.

Why am I picking at America?

Well they are one of the only nations that are not readily reducing their carbon output.

Me coming from New Zealand, I am naturally pissed off, to be blunt, that some fat son of a ***** politicians in America can ruin my beautiful country.

I am saying this also because America, off the top of my head, produces about 40% of carbon output. I think that if America didn't exist there wouldn't be global warming.

So I conclude saying that, yes if America reverses it's ways and soon Global warming can be reversed.
