WorldMark by Windham a scam?

I got a call from a rep from WorldMark by Windham. They rep is offering a free trip for 2 to Las Vegas or Annaheim, including airfair and 3 days in a hotel. I have been looking on the internet and have seen several posts on different forums claiming that this is a scam and that the people have a tendency to harass people. Does anyone anything about this WorldMark by WIndham deal?

  1. I went to a meeting and expected to be there no more than 2 hours. instead they made me sit through 3 sales people and 5 hours. It was Midnight before I got out. After I kept saying NO they offered a trial membership for almost 2000$ I was tired and stupified by then so I signed up. I went to Vegas and I could have stayed there for A LOT LESS! So it was a waste of money at this time. I then went to Yellowstone and I liked the place for the area and enjoyed myself. Point being some places its worth it others it is not but either way you are spending a lot of money for something you could get without being in a contract. I am glad I didn't join!

  2. It is not a scam...we did this too. You do get the trip or they let you trade it in for $200...You have to make it through the very high pressured sales pitch...I had to tell about 5 sales people that we do not want it and can't afford it before we finally got to go...they timeshares are very nice. My dad has been and we just got back from using the timeshare in Hawaii, which was very nice...they only bad thing is you have to book some places a year in advance but other than that it is very nice.
