World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry seals second spot in WWE Power 25 – WWE Rankings Update
The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry once again jumped upward in the WWE’s Power 25 for the weekend of October 22. The World Heavyweight Champion, Henry sealed second spot in the WWE’s rankings updated by the Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science.
The World’s Strongest Man partook in the two weekly segments including Monday Night Raw Supershow and Friday Night SmackDown. Teaming up with Christian and the Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes, the World Champion faced the team of Randy Orton, Sheamus
and John Morrison during Monday Night Raw on October 17.
The Viper, Randy Orton set his eyes on the I.C. Champion and left the ring as he pulled him backstage assaulting him. Similarly, the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus also countered with his Vengeance opponent and took him backstage beating him down. That left Morrison
and the World Champion in the ring. The World Champion delivered Morrison the World’s Strongest Slam and captured the victory in the 6-Man Tag Team match.
Five days later, the World’s Strongest Man once again was set to face Morrison. Henry once again reined supreme over Morrison as he captured the bout by hitting the World’s Strongest Slam. Moreover, the World Champion confronted his Vengeance opponent, the
Big Show during his fight against Alberto Del Rio and caused a disqualification. The World’s Largest Athlete, Big Show countered with his opponent and choke-slammed him.
Although, the World Champion could not stop his opponent and got choke-slammed but he was still the winner of two matches. The two victories in Raw and SmackDown brought the World Champion one step above in the Power 25 list. The Academy of Wrestling Arts
and Science placed him on the second spot from third in the current week’s WWE Rankings.
On Sunday, the World Champion faced the Big Show to defend his World Championship title during WWE’s pay-per-view segment, Vengeance. The bout ended in a no contest as the World’s Largest Athlete and the World Champion got injured and one corner of the ring
actually collapsed. The World’s Strongest Man still remained the World Champion. The upcoming Friday Night SmackDown will decide the next challenge for the World’s Strongest Man.
