Question:

Worms in hands & feet?

My granddaughter babysat a little girl that had tiny green worms wriggling out of the palm of her hands and she said they come out of her feet too? I have never heard of this before, it sounds dangerous, and I think she should be taken to a doctor, but her parents must not because the child says it happens all the time. My granddaughter actually witnessed this happening to the little girl and she said it "creeped her out"

  1. It is pretty creepy. She's got a parasite and needs to be taken to a doctor to get rid of it!

  2. Shame on her parents for not taking care of the child.  She obviously has parasites.  Because it happens all the time means to me that it's a large infestation.  It would creep me out too.  I've seen this type of thing on TV medical shows.  Usually it's just as simple as taking a certain pill to kill the parasite.  I also wouldn't let my grand daughter or anyone else I know get near this child until she sees a doctor.  What ever invaded her body could certainly invade any one else's the same way.  Please talk to that mother.  If finances are the problem I'm sure there's a free clinic that will treat the little girl.  Children can always get medical care when needed.

  3. This child needs to be taken to a doctor.  Her parents should collect these "worms" in a jar of alcohol to show them to the doctor.   If they are coming out of her skin this is not a simple infestation!  I checked the Internet and could not find anything remotely close to what you describe.

Once her parents take her to the doctor he should send them to the lab to pick up a container to collect the worms in. It will be a preservative liquid so they can return it to the lab and have them analysed.  Alcohol will dry them out too much for testing but would at least be something to show the doctor that indeed this is happening. This is not normal!! In all my years of working in a lab I have seen and heard a lot of things but never anything like this!

If they are coming out of her hands they could have migrated to her organs or her brain...This is dangerous to say the least!! Not to mention that if they are doing this on a regular basis and her bedding is not being washed daily she may be reinfecting herself each time she goes to bed.  Others could be effected also. This is nothing to mess with!  Even pin worms can be dangerous to a child if left untreated.

  4. I Tink you have a one in your pea brain.
